PROJECT INSIGHTS
This project focused on creating a dynamic web and mobile platform, “Take Off with Tami,” designed to cultivate a thriving community around business coach Tami. The platform offers a rich set of features to encourage engagement and connection among users, including interactive social feeds, direct and group chat capabilities, the ability to host and participate in group meetings, and access to exclusive podcast content. The goal was to build a space where members could connect, share insights, and learn from Tami and each other.Â
The platform leverages a modern technology stack to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability. The front-end utilizes React JS and Next JS for web development and React Native for mobile app development. The backend is powered by Node JS and Express JS, with MongoDB serving as the database. Digital Ocean hosts the platform, while Stripe handles payment processing. Cloudinary manages media assets, Novu handles notifications, Sendgrid manages email communication, and Sentry provides error tracking.

OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENTS
The client, Tami, sought to build a stronger connection with her community and provide a platform for meaningful interaction. Existing social media channels offered limited control and lacked the specific features she envisioned. She needed a dedicated platform that could foster deeper engagement than standard social media, enabling richer communication and content sharing. Specifically, she wanted to integrate features like podcasts and virtual group meetings to provide more value to her community and differentiate her offering.
PROJECT DELIVERY PROCESS
This project was executed by a focused team of two developers over a period of 50 days. The development team was responsible for the complete lifecycle of the project, from initial design and architecture to the implementation and testing of all features. This agile approach allowed for rapid development and iterative improvements, leading to the timely delivery of a comprehensive and functional platform.
